"Excuse me." Kakashi said in his normal bored tone, he had actually gotten lost on the road of life while he was heading to his apartment. He felt embarrassed about being somewhere where he had never been before, but that was life, when you are given lemons, make apple juice, if that saying held truth, why was he lost? "Could you tell me where I am exactly?"

It took a moment for the information to sink into his brain. He wasn't in Konoha, and he had never heard of this place before. "Well, this is some dilemma."

A dark figure was seen in the Calezeara Field. It caught Robert's eyes as it glided casually toward the farm... at least he thought it was gliding toward his farm. His concentrated gaze caught the attention of the confused travelers. They seemed shocked at the figure, almost frightened. "Well, farmer-sir, if we could buy a horse from you that would be great." Robert ran his manly right hand through Toby's sandy red mane. "Actually," the farmer replied, "you may borrow him if you would like. Just return him as healthy as you see him and leave that bottle of water if you don't mind. I think I might need it." "Done!" hurried Kakashi as he stumbled with his leather pack for a bottle of water. Quickly, the travelers took off on the red mustang. As Robert watched them hurry off, he noticed that the black robed figure was approaching the gates of the farm. He hitched his blue jeans and wiped his forehead with his hand as he made his way to the waiting dark stranger. "Hello," came a smooth low voice from the hooded cloak. "I thought it might be you, Syra Grim," said the farmer as he opened the gate for the young lady in the robe. "Yeah?" greeted Syra as she looked up. He could see a little of her deep pink grin on her shaded face. "What brings you here?" asked Robert as he followed her toward the pasture, "Last I saw you, you were sailing off with," "I need a horse," interrupted Syra. She wasn't normally the type for chit-chat. "How's your family?" "They are happy if that's what you mean." replied Syra. "Dad's still studying darker powers, and Mom is still hanging out with old gypsies. I've picked up a few trick trinkets myself." She showed him some different sized strands of different colors. Some had beige colored beads threaded in their structures, and some were mere hair thin strands of string. "What's?" started the farm man. "They are bracelets of special abilities. Here, I'm sure you'll need this." Syra picked a white braided bracelet with four beads on it and motioned to tie it Robert's hand. "Wait, what is that thing? What'll it do?" he recoiled as though she offered him a rattler that nipped at him. "It's a protection bracelet," explained Syra. "It's good for you. It has tons of powerful white magic put in it." She saw his hesitancy to it's fashion. "I know it's a little 'girly' but I promise, you'll need it." "Alright," agreed the farmer as he extended his left sun burned arm. Syra tied it on and the farmer relaxed. "Wow, I feel so..." started the farmer. "Alert? Protected? Able to sense my intentions?" asked Syra. "Yes. That's so strange. Thank you." "One for the misses," said Syra as she dangled an identical bracelet in front of Robert. "How many do you have?" he asked. "Enough." was the simple reply. Robert didn't press any more questions. "By the way," said Syra, "make sure those don't get cut off. The magic dies once it's cut, but don't worry, that's the only way to remove them, and they can last forever. Well," she said as she turned toward the stables, "about that horse." "The only one in there is my dying mare." explained Robert. "She'll do." "But" started Robert, but Syra quieted him with a raise of her cloaked hand. She motioned for him to follow. They entered the dim shelter of the stable, and Syra removed her hood. Her black hair hung down to her hips and her lightly grayed face almost glowed pastey white like the moon on a dark winter night. Her large black eyes focused on the sick mare in the corner of the stable. "Don't see much sun do you?" mentioned Robert. "Hmp." grunted Syra with a smirk at the jest. "Couldn't if I wanted to." She knelt down by the gray mare. She was a beautiful beast-shaggy and small like a Shetland but thin and fine figured. Her mane and tail were white. Her body was light cloudy gray with whit speckles on her hind quarters. The mare lifted her head and made a move as to get up. "Now girl," cooed Syra, "just stay down. I'll help you." She reached with her bare hand to touch the horse, and the mare collapsed. "What did you?" started the farmer. Syra lifted her hand and worked with her bracelet strands. She tied a light blue and white one to the mare's front left hoof. Syra closed her eyes and concentrated. Her figure seemed to fade and she became transparent. Her soul's arms seemed to pull something from the stable wall; it was the mare's spirit. Syra's mouth moved, but couldn't be heard. She was in the spirit realm now. As Syra guided the horse to her body, Syra fed the the body's mouth some green liquid. The young mare came back to life. She stumbled up on her hooves and looked at the farmer. Her eyes were black! "She's kinda undead like me," said Syra to the farmer's look, "Well she is better now, and she is well protected for now. What's the fee?" "Umm..." said Robert, "Well her being revived is payment enough. I know she is in good hands, so you can just take her." "Thanks!" said Syra as she led the gray mare out of the stable. Syra pulled on her hood and mounted her new steed. "Say hi for me," was her last request as she rode off toward the forest. Robert scratched his hat covered head as he watched her ride away.
